Never thought of that, it's worth a try. I mainly use the bar ends when pulling the trailer. It feels more secure, steering requires less force and it's more precise.
For the rest, that Santos consists of lightweight parts, weighing 24 lbs in total. Especially the Mavic rims and Schwalbe tires are ultra light. The drivetrain is Shimano XTR. Already quite old but - in my humbe opinion - still the very best material today.
