Yea I used a Dyson v7 once and was astonished how well it worked considering it was battery powered. The brush works amazingly well and is probably worth the money over cheaper vacuums.

Since I don't have thick carpet making the brush head not as useful, I went and bought a cheap Amazon lookalike called "iwoly V600" that was corded (I figure more power and money savings are worth the hassle of the cord) that is rated at 600W and that thing sucked HARD, however the air filter clogged pretty quickly with finer dust. The whole cyclone vacuum thing is good at separating larger debris out but the paper filters before the fan clog quite rapidly.
