'Mass customization' as a business strategy is being pursued by Yamaha. And theirs is the prettiest and sweestest-sounding electric motor ever.
I want to see one on my VW transaxle. It's smaller than the zLectric/EV West induction motors. There is a picture at https://youtu.be/gGv0sVChnjc?t=763. The Medium Single (100hp) would be adequate for a Beetle.
