I have given up on my 'plan B' for side view cameras at this point. Sadly, there is just no easy way to make an extension wire to get the cameras I was trying to use to work. For whatever reason, either there is too much voltage drop or interference, so I end up with no signal on the relocated camera from the front of the main mirror/DVR housing.

Still going to use the side pods as already detailed. It will all just need to be different hardware to mount and work how I want it. I think I have that sorted out without having to jerry-rig stuff together though.

Fortunately, it is not too much lost on expenses with repurposing what I have to use as a front / rear dashcam for my Flex. Just too much time running in circles is all . .
