Today, drove 40 miles (10 remaining miles, 30 miles back) with no 12V charging after the connection to my DC-DC started smoking (the 3 phase high voltage connection to the 3-phase rectifier). Battery was down to 12.1-12.3 volts at the end so I didn't push it too hard. Going to investigate it tomorrow after church and hopefully get it fixed up right quick.

I do notice a little bit of a power/mpg boost with the DC-DC disconnected, probably easier to notice on such an underpowered car that doesn't require much power just to drive itself down the road. Nothing huge but definitely noticeable if you drive both ways back to back.
