I the 2nd gen Prius shares some suspension components with contemporary Corolla models, so certain performance parts will fit the Prius. Easiest one is a thicker front swaybar.
Then there's the higher ground clearance parts used in the Russian version of the Corolla. Someone imported those to put on a 2nd gen Prius and enter it in an off road rally. They had to hack the electronics to disable traction control. The other major modification was sawing off the bottom half of the front bumper cover and adding a heavy aluminum skidplate. Wouldn't think a 2nd gen Prius could look rough and tough... Toyota missed a beat there in the late 00's.
