I'd build a straw bale house (No, not a StupiDome! Don't even post that ****.)
A little prickly are we?

Straw Bale will have you cohabiting with small mammals and insects. Look into cob. It is a mix of straw and clay. It just needs a [non-dome, apparently] roof.

redpoint5 — Thanks. I have a friend who's girlfriend is in real estate in Bend. He agrees that there are people who have a quarter million floating between real estate deals. I suggested that they could do a production run of ten tiny homes and put them in downtown Detroit or La Pine and money would come running down out of the hills.

Summit Structures tiny house shell — 10x24ft $20,000
clip-on utility core — 3x10ft $5,000
plumbing stack
solar hot water
HVAC
microgrid
No solar or windmill. Used Tesla OEM parts for the HVAC and powerpack.
