It looks like the wood chunk is turning perfectly sized fire wood in to wood chunks.
Any 2 inches and up is fire wood. Anything down to 1 inch can be fire wood depending on how much twigs are on there.
I'm trying to turn twigs and even leaves that would normally go into a brush pile then be open air burned and turn it into much more compact, easier to move, easier to store, dry out s lot faster and can quickly be loaded into the coal furnace, compared to raw green twigs.
