It's at least a possibility. The more expensive cars of the era had long and short wheelbase variants. Else, of course a homebrew variant. The trailer reminds me of the Curtis Wright fifth-wheel trailer, but his one is the Adams Motor Bungalow.

By 1949 they (Curtis Wright) were making something very similar to my Silver Streak Clipper.

Curtis Wright, Silver Streak, Airstream, Avion — all such an iconic shape.

There's that mega-buck Bowlus clone, but no affordable modern replica. Extruded aluminum window frames would be less labor than those hand-formed Z-channels they used in the 40/50s. Hydro-formed end caps* and Dexter torsion bar axles.

*I'd go with five formed pieces to each end cap. One seam into the window area and a center cap piece.
