Is there a gap between the mirror housing and the body of the car? Google images looks like it does.
I think folded out. Less interference between the car and mirror housing.
Frontal area seems like it wouldn't have changed enough to offset the possible increase in drag.
Can you remove the mirror or is it illegal in your area?
