They just fill up with debris, a thin wire will open them up. I managed to collect over 2 gallons of water from the rockers one of my miatas. You will want to check the drain tubes behind the seats, the drains in the doors, and pull the rugs..the fiber matting under the rugs can hold ten pounds of water, easily.
