I agree C&D is mostly an advertising medium.

They have one solid point. Not everyone can twist a wrench like Johnny or Red. If you can't this could be an expensive nightmare.

I'm a decent wrench (maybe not in Johnny's class) and knowing about the places mechanical and electrical land mines can hide in a car give me pause.
