No, the 5 screws hold the big heat sink inside to the case, and presumably transfer heat to it.

It has - or should - 24 x IRFP4568 mosfets in it. Supposedly capable of 171 amps each (though I think that would melt the leads right off them after a few seconds). Will confirm that after checking that it works.

You need 6 sets of mosfets in a 3-phase BLDC controller...a high and a low side for each phase...I think...anyway, 4 on each, it's rated at 150 amps peak...but each phase can be ~2.5x the battery current, so...375, divided by 4...each taking 93.75 amps each, though only when you go full throttle but before battery voltage and phase voltage level out...BLA BLA BLA. That's about half what each is rated for, so that sounds about right.

Awful lot of current to pass through the poor little suckers.
