Not necessarily. Turns out they're labeled as "strakes" in some
parts catalogs too.
"Strakes" rolls off the tongue better than "deflectors" or "fender liner extensions" (the other common parts catalog designation). So strakes it is for me! And no
"boots" or "bonnets" either, they're
"trunks" and "hoods," dammit.
