Considering the hybrid option is only available with crew-cab and the highest-spec engine, and the base 3.3L naturally-aspirated V6 engine available for the F-150 has an almost unnoticeably lower torque than the 2.3L turbocharged 4-cyl fitted to the Ranger, it seems like even Ford didn't figure out how a hybrid capability might've been on its way to become a valuable asset for commercial operators. Well, maybe some publicity after the hybrid feature provided useful during the recent snowstorms will lead some Ford executives to find out it's not a bad idea to extend the availability of a similar setup to its entire truck (and van) range.
