Weekend in the Toiyabe Range...

From here, head out US 50, which the tourist board bills as "The Loneliest Road in America", then turn off on Nevada 722, which is a good bit lonelier than that (in about a hundred miles, saw one car and three cows on the road). Then about 25 miles on dirt, including fording a few streams - something most people probably wouldn't do in a Honda Insight. Set up the tent by a small stream, and spend a couple of days hiking around. Reverse the process to come home. Round trip distance: 450 miles, including about 50 on dirt. Average mpg: 80.8.
