So I’ve worked more on the weight loss. I took a long hard look at how many people travel with me in the car and proceeded to remove the front passenger seat and it’s seat belt. I also have managed to chip most of the asphalt based sound deadening off the floor and ripped out the headliner, dome light, third brake light and the upper pillar covers. Also cut some useless metal off the package tray behind the rear seats. Current weight is 2620lb with a quarter tank of fuel. That’s an honest 50lb under the original weight, which doesn’t sound like much, but...
I have the redline front clip and side skirts which were heavier than the sedan counterparts (that hood was a lot heavier and it’s lifted with gas struts instead of held up with a prop rod)
I added bigger front sway bar and a rear sway bar
I still have the pizza pans on my wheels, as well as the wheel skirts, rear spoiler, and rear lip
I’m still 120lb over my goal of 2500lb or less but I’ve come a long way and you can really feel it in how the car drives; on cool evenings it really moves out for what it is!
