I had a 2003 Wagon TDI 5-speed. Great car and I averaged 47 mpg over 10 years / 245K miles. My current 2014 is larger and nicer to drive but the mileage is a disappointment - only 37 mpg which isn't worth the hassle of dealing with a diesel.
