So, I suppose it might not be rocket-science to expand the suitability of your device to the newer engines.

The science and the engineering is all the same, but it is still difficult and expensive to get a new serviceable thermostat developed that will use a suitable and commonly available thermostat valve...... If the housing and/or the location on the engine has changed, a whole new CNC Machining program needs to be developed.
