On the OT subject of dating, I'll just add that online dating has plenty of potential for good (that's how I met my wife). It always amused me that people would date those they work with, as if the best fit for them likely was among the 10 people they work closest with.
When I searched for a mate, I was as open to the world as possible. That's not practical to review the world, so some sites have filters. OKC had users answer questions, then answer how their partner should answer, then rate how important that question is to them. It's a very efficient way to filter people so that only the most likely matches grab your attention.
It's also annoying... you wouldn't believe how many women said that the answer to "increase a dollar by 10%, and then decrease that amount by 10% = $1" and that it was extremely important that their mate also be bad at math.
