The Idea obviously includes charging the 18V batteries externaly and using them to charge the 12V battery via a step down DC-DC to keep the battery charged at 100% all the time.
This causes the alternator to not charge the battery, wich should reduce parasitic drag.
Removing /bypassing it would be rather complicated in my car as it sits in front of the engine behind the firewall and under the roof.
It's REALY hard to reach.
