The study was conducted in EV friendly California.
I bet states that turn anti EV will see much higher rates of regression than California if they adopt a punitive "EV tax".

When newmexico adopts an EV tax, I say "when", not "if" because the democrats running the state are that stupid. The leaf and it's accessories will be sold and I'll be buying a oil buring VW, circa 2006 or so. Definitely modding it to roll coal on demand, probably with water methanol. But then people will say oil pan now you're just paying the state of entrapment for much more expensive diesel fuel, nope.
Then I'll drive to texas where diesel is much cheaper and only about 20 miles away to buy diesel fuel.
