Some thoughts:
* Some proxies for paleomagetism have been found unreliable for their fidelity in actually capturing the strength and alignment of the magnetosphere.
* Earth's molten core and mantle is like a lava lamp and convection moves mass around, so that's a valid consideration.
* Tectonics, volcanism, and earthquakes are all responses to changes in Earth's cryosphere. As polar ice caps, continental ice sheets, and mountain glaciers melt, so does Earth's polar moment of inertia, plus lithospheric rebound redistributes the outermost mass, setting up tremendous stress and strain, sea-floor spreading, subduction, fault boundary stress, along with changing sea level gravitational loading, solar and lunar tidal effects.
* Throw in the Milankovitch cycles and precession of the equinox and Earth becomes like the inebriated navigating Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.
Good video!
