Exhaust direction (to fill in turbulence)

Exhaust gases is an option to fill in negative pressure for example back of car. This is possible because of high pressure of exhaust gases.

My Espace 3 has rouded smooth van style big ugly butt. Exhaust direct to downwards so propably much high pressure benefit is lost because of wrong direction.

Has anyone tested redirection effect?

Any estimates of benefit?
