Also interesting for existing homes is HUDhomestore. It lets you bids on homes before they go to Black Rock or some pension fund.

But why buy existing when the state of the art has moved on since the 70s and 80s. Modular construction is obvious. Fuller's 1960 public domain Hexa-Pent dome design is less so. Framing cost are up 400%. A dome requires 70% the materials for framing. There will be no math.

Insofar as smart house/microgrid/IOT living is concerned, I currently favor the $314 reTerminal for a Central Processor.


It has machine learning for voice and face recognition, and an industrial-grade programmable interface. Nice plastic too.
