I tried to replace the turn signal in my Camry, but the plug absolutely didn't match up. I finally realized that I had the right light bulb, but not the connector that goes between it and the cable, snapping into the housing.

I drove to the friendly neighborhood Toyota dealership, said "I need this part for this car" and they called me less than 24 hours saying it arrived.

I love my Hondas, but the nearest dealership is a couple of hours away!

I finally fixed my headlight and saw coolant all over, so I drove home and swapped caps with Mom. Then I went for a test drive. The shortest distance to a highway was in the direction of that tiny house and after driving for 15 minutes I thought that I would drive by.

I was maybe halfway there.

Wait, what?!

I was familiar with the turnoff. I dated a lady whose parents lived down there, but this said "Turn left and continue 4 miles."

Four miles?!

That wasn't the end, there were more turns, and it was a total of 5 miles, but 4 of them were down dirt roads!

I mentioned to the friend that the tiny house that I shared was down 4 miles of dirt road, which would destroy my old cars. She, always helpfully, responded "Stop whining, you baby! It's not that bad!"

I drove out there. It was that bad.

There also isn't a driveway!

I have clients down similar, but shorter, dirt roads and when it snowed they told me to not even try seeing them.

Now we meet through Zoom and I miss seeing them in-person, but I don't miss the drive!

There is a drainage ditch next to the road. People usually put big drainage pipes across those, right?

Then you cover them with gravel and level it out?

Then I would need to clear out 3-foot weeds, put down more gravel, and level that--if I don't put in a driveway, and since I would build on concrete, it would just be more concrete, but then wouldn't I need to excavate the ground, put down gravel, and then concrete?

I guess that I wouldn't need to worry about the weeds!

All of that on top of fixing up a tiny house that needs the front siding replaced, the rest of the siding pressure-washed and repainted, the flooring redone, the kitchen created from scratch because there are only 4 drawers and a sink.

No upper cabinets?!

Then I might possibly have enough space for myself, but not for my cars, or my tools, so I would want to finance putting in something.

My realtor notified me of this yesterday: $164,900 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 952 square feet. 1201 N 44th Dr, Show Low, AZ 85901

I don't know what I expect for that price. They are asking a little more than twice as much as the tiny house in the middle of nowhere for 98.5% more space, although the lot is 36% smaller, limiting the possibility of additions.

It looks nice, though, is in-town, and instead of being cash-only, but owner-may-finance, it is allegedly eligible for a VA loan!

It is also furnished.

The kitchen is a decent size, but the front door, laundry, and dining area are in it, so it would be busy.

There is a "Vacant room" whose use is only limited by my imagination.

Ah dang it! My imagination is to blame again!

Weird. Allegedly it was worth $136,900 in May, but $164,900 today (although the zestimate is $155,500). Allegedly, Mom's house peaked just under $270,000 in May, but is worth less than $230k today.

Whatever difference that makes.

Anyway, I have far too many things to do today, including getting ready to drive to the valley for Thanksgiving tomorrow morning.

Yeah. We need to leave on time. Otherwise we will miss Thanksgiving!

I think that I need to talk to my realtor about seeing this!

However, if I am not the first person to offer the asking price I am out.
