1) The excursion or reversal will have no impact on GPS.
2) And it will have no impact on inertial navigation.
3) Student, Sport, and Ultralite pilots will fly by VFR, just like they always have, using known landmarks to navigate.
4) Night flyers can also use celestial navigation, as has been used by U2, Apollo, and SR-71 pilots.
