To the OP: look at what big rigs do; they will try anything to save money. And check the Renault re20 turbo formula 1 engine. A well crafted equal header exhaust manifold ending on a divided turbine housing will increase spoolup speeds, but the question is always by how much. There is a diminishing return point: the Renault one is much further than yours as a 1s difference in acceleration may win a race. Mercedes has log manifolds in its AMG cars.
