How to rebuild society after the solar micro nova?
This is so much more interesting than 'discussing' climate change.

I'd like to do the props and sets for a post-apocalyptic story. The hook would be that life is better after the Apocalypse. A medieval-level technology with high tech masquerading as 'majic'.

The 3D house printer would consist in a mast with three yardarms creating a[n irregular] hexagon 40 ft in the air. It would suspend three cable inverted tripods Each cable would be pulleyed and controlled from the ground by crews coordinating their movements with sea shanties.

A wind-powered Olds elevator would lift cob to the top where it would be fed to one, or up to three, extruder[s]. Each could be replaced by a pick'n'place gripper to lay stone [else hemp Lego block] walls, or a pile driver/tamper for rammed earth floors.

The hard part would be getting the mast out of the finished structure so I propose stacked short sections of log caged by a tensegrity mast to stiffen it.

Up on the hill would be a wizard's tower with a tall lightning rod to run the antiquitech lighting, but it would have a glass cartridge vial as a fuse filled with newt's eylids and other orgainc refuse. Occasionally a lightning strike would reduce the fuse material to flash graphene. Which he would collect and distribute to the townspeople as an amendment to their adobe and cob.

It would be far enough North that sailing ships could reach ice floes, where they carve out needle shapes, capture them between two ship and spin them to carve a hydrodynamic profile and wrap it with wool tarps, to tow home and into a drydock where it supplies fresh water to the community.

For the ships I'm all over the place. Maybe like the low-poly wooden brigatines Cortez constructed for the siege of Tenochtitlán in 1521. The homes and shopping malls would be geodesic domes with Tartarian detailing.

The Golden Age as predicted by Scott Adams. It's pretty much high tech at both ends with low tech in the middle [ages].
