So, after a while away from this thread, I need to update, as I’ve bought parts and more importantly, a 41K mile long block. I also decided im going to take the head off it and port that one as I know it worked before the engine was pulled from the donor car (have video of it running), rather than go with one that didn’t work last I knew anything. I do now have all the stuff needed to remove the balance shafts entirely, and a 7.5lb aluminum flywheel, snd the better flowing intake manifold from the 2006-2007 2.4. I also have a return style fuel rail for the engine, for later potential use if I decide to throw a turbo on it.
