Ferrari wake imaging

I ran across a DVD of 'FORD vs FERRARI' at the thrift store for two bucks.
In the movie, there's brief scene:
Ken Miles, in the Ford GT 40, is 'shoulder to shoulder' with Bandini in the Ferrari, on the Mulsanne Straight. They're in 200+ mph territory, GT 40 pushing 7,500 rpm, and Bandini's pushing the Ferrari north of 9,000 rpm.
In an instant, Bandini loses all oil pressure, and the wake is filled with smoke, as if the oil rings have failed. It's just for a moment. But for a moment, the wake of the prancing horse is completely defined, indicating attached flow around the entire perimeter of the tail.
Another portion of the show involves tuft testing of the GT 40 at Willow Springs Raceway, Rosamond, California ( a few miles west of the remains of Pancho Barnes,' Happy Bottom Riding Club ( where Chuck Yeager broke his ribs the night before going supersonic ).
It appears that the filming car is too close to the Ford, interfering with the airflow, so it's of little value to us. Too bad.
Like the movie.
