Well the stoopid part of the story is the people put a brand new battery in it without fixing the problem that killed the previous one, so now they've killed another battery.
Like having a flat tire and continuing to drive on it until the rim is destroyed, then buying a new rim and putting the old flat tire back on, as if that fixes everything.
