Resist identitarianism. It leads to bad things.

You caught my mix-up in phrasing.
I assume the other comment is rhetorical.
From another forum;
Quote:
What's worse is that identity is weaponized against reason, deceiving weak thinkers that an argument isn't even necessary when identity is presented. Someone will say something like, "As a gay Asian woman, Ben Shapiro's racist, sexist, and homophobic rhetoric puts marginalized people in danger". It's using identity as an attempt to justify the argument, which is unreasonable. The brilliance of reason is that it has no dependency on arbitrary group identity.
...I'm very conflicted here. Scott Adams is all about persuasion, and identity is very persuasive these days even though it's illogical. Would it not be logical to use tools of illogic to shape outcomes we desire?
Identity isn't a sufficient argument on its own, but it might be the only way to open the door of reason.
My favorite way to use identity would be to make all the logical arguments first, and then drop the identity bombshell at the end. Kinda like David Webb's arguments being dismissed as a manifestation of White Privilege, and him dropping the bombshell that he's black. It turns their identity weapon into a dud.
Lure those in who want to leverage nonsense like identity into their comfort zones, then pull the rug out from under them. Direct attack on identity is not effective for those who are already dismissive of reason.
