2019 Benz A250 project

my lease recently ended and I decided to keep the car, was originally planning on getting an SUV but with the gas prices... since the day I bought my A250 i never reset the trip meter and it has done 7.7L/100km average about 2/3 highway. that's about 30mpg. I'm fairly impressed for a loaded hatchback with all wheel drive and 258ft-lbs of torque. also has been fairly low cost. I'm planning on hypermiling the car and modding it. so far I have blocked the grille (not intercooler), lowered it, base trim 17in alloy wheels with low resistance tires, and installed mudflaps. although coefficient of drag from factory is pretty good at 0.26cd. I also always drive in manual mode and keep the revs below 2000 rpm. with the dual clutch transmission it is easy to keep the engine revs low since there is no torque converter and the 7th gear drops it to 1500 rpm at 60mph. the engine auto start stop system also helps. I have also flashed the ecu to keep the wastegate open below 2000 rpm and below 40% throttle while advancing ignition timing and leaning out the fuel ratios to 15:1 (leanest it would go). there is a way to make it run very lean by scaling the maf sensors but haven't got around this yet. most of my drives recently is to and from work in the redlight and stop sign filled streets of downtown Toronto. Today I managed to finish a rush hour drive of 33km with 8.1L/100km average mostly city. looking forward to getting back to hypermiling again.
