A recent study found a small piece of matching code in the COVID-19 virus and a synthetic gene for cancer research that Moderna filed a patent for in 2016.

Critics say the finding is not as rare as the study suggests and that it’s likely a coincidence.

The study’s lead author said he hopes the work will lead to further discussion and experiments about the origin of the virus. He did not endorse the claim that it “proves” Moderna created COVID-19

Even though Moderna did not create the virus in a lab it should give us pause that we in effect go naked into China and share all our tech with them.

There are very good reasons not to use. China for producing
Food
Drugs
Vitamins
Electronics

The US stance should have always been banning imports at a minimum of Food, Drugs, Vitamins from China and other places that lack any form of protections or quality standards on exports

China also has poor security, hygiene, product safety/contamination, workers rights amongst a million other problems with exports

They simply don’t have the framework to deal with anything dangerous competently or with integrity

Unfortunate we didn’t nip the problem in the bud in the 70’s instead we exported all of our knowledge and tech making us incompetent
