A kitten once stowed away atop the 'warm' transaxle of my Karmann -Ghia for the 100-mile trip from Edwards AFB, to Woodland Hills, California.
As I parked at my destination, I heard protest vocalizations from under the car.
My friends adopted the 'Air Force refugee'.
