The engine block, injection pump and 5 speed transmission are original and untouched. Everything else has been changed or rebuilt along the way.
The aftermarket support for these old diesel Mercedes is tremendous and having a prototype machine shop helps tremendously. I've more billet aluminum on this car than the original 900 dollar purchase price would suggest. I keep it ugly so that when I park at Home Depot, all those work trucks skitter out of the way!
