Probably that would enable a higher profit margin even with a lower production volume. Boating supplies tend to be excessively priced. But anyway, the marine propulsion segment that I mentioned was in a larger scale such as engines for large ships or even some small and medium boats meant for professional uses. Having the Scuderi design also provided auxiliary power for accessories through a pneumatic-hybrid system like you often mentioned, and enabled trading some carbon credits due to a supposed decrease to the emissions, could be appealing to some operators, in contrast to an eventually more conservative nature of the recreational boat/yacth owners. Now that some ships are already using LNG as fuel, maybe an engine designed according to the Scuderi principles could have its fair share of the market...
