10% for switching over to synth oil is way too much, that's just not hapening. Most of the gains would come from friction modifiers which are part of the oil additive package. I don't see why Royal Purple would be so much on top of other manufacturers. I would have liked better they went for a 5w20 instead of a 5w30.

They also recommended not to run synth in a new engine during its break in period. AFAIK that is not true anymore, at least not for recent cars.

Their metedology also lacks rigor. Anything that was not tested under the exact same weather conditions will have a margin of error that will probably be greater than the mod impact onfuel economy.

Thumbs up for modding though!
