theory
[QUOTE=freebeard;674439]The theory as I understand it is that for a short time atoms didn't exist, let alone galaxies. How you can parse out what was happening then IDK.[/QUOTES
Since they don't have all the mathematics yet, it's still hypotheses.
Some have been whittled away as experiments and tests now performed have demonstrated the impossibility of some candidate philosophies, leaving what remains, plus any 'progress.'
For me, the 'Big-Bang' is just our view of one 'positive' phase of a natural dual-mode resonance emerging from the inflexion point of a limited-size portal on this side of a equal, but opposite 'negative' mode, chimeral universe.
Over it's natural frequency, it just moves back and forth, emerging through the portal, with one instant, where all time, space, mass, entropy, and spherical field potential constitute a binary singularity.
It can't be 'observed' from 'outside' the system, as there is nothing that is not 'system.'

But yes, there is an instant at which there is no time, no mass, no space. Just potential energy, with entropy designed in. Enough to create a heterogeneous universe with. And it's just an instant away. It's beginnings, anyway.
It's evolution is governed by all the coherent rules yet to be discovered. The most beautiful thing ever understood, if that were to ever happen.

What the brainiacs and experimentalists have figured out so far, is where we're at.
It's their mathematics and computer modelling which inform their best guesses. Heady stuff!
