Does the UK require that tire manufacturers provide rolling-resistance coefficients to the consumer, to help inform their purchase decisions?
Personally, I'd want to weigh that as much as engine rpm.
You could potentially move the TDI engine into a slightly more efficient island of efficiency, only to lose it all back with higher rolling resistance. A net-zero gain.
