Winco had pork shoulder on sale on an endcap, so I bought 10 lbs. A couple weeks later I saw the same exact display, forgot I had already purchased one, and bought another one.
I sous vide starting the day before, then throw it in the oven to create the bark prior to serving. I'll have friends over to help eat it. Leftovers will get me lunches for the rest of the week.
I make a mean BSTA, (bacon, spinach, tomato, avocado).
As a huge tangent, I replaced the 8 cu/ft deep freezer my dad gave me with a new 7 cu/ft because doing the math on the electrical consumption, the old one uses 3x more energy than a new one. Break even is 3 years on the new freezer on electricity savings.
