At KEDW 1C15 we didn't, they were considered disposable as were parts of the test pad and everything below the nozzle. Couple of minutes thrust cooks even steel reinforced 4 million gallon water cooled concrete thrust redirector.

Hardening stuff just wasn't justified for a $100 device
