Anyways... Yup the main point here is heat rises so the majority of the heat retention is putting the insulation over the head. Just throw a sheet on there and try not to insulate your inverter.
The most really that happens is its a pita because if you touch the **** you will be nice and cozy... i mean itchy...
Worse case scenario the belt drive rips a piece off and some of your insulation is gone. It will just pull it off like cotton candy as the stuff is hardly together lol
Take the hood liner out too, it'll give the insulation more fluff room.

Take that massive engine cover off too if you can. should improve performance of the insulation.
thats where the air filter is. not engine cover

i keep seeing things about ceramic insulation foam sheets. they cost more than the basic r13 fiberglass. would they perform better or is it a different type of insulation?

also how can you even go about getting smaller bits of insulation? cheapest i found was 30 bucks at home depot and 32 feet long. i just need 8 square feet for mine give or take
