I've thought about trying to raise the grain or something to even that dent out. Failing that I suppose a clear filler would suffice.

The floors look good in most spots except the very high wear areas. Not sure what the process is to restore them, but it's probably something along the lines of strip, sand, stain, seal. I'll wait for the kids to stop dropping cast iron skillets and throwing food on the floor to shine them back up.
