That's the least of the problems, it's not even the full width of the roof.
Contrarotating props fail for commercial airliners because of the excessive noise. but here is a setup that has the efficiency (up from Mach 0.55 to 0.80) but is as quiet as the newest high-bypass fanjets. It is done with a variable pitch stator.
