Well, they are transporting small packages, not entire cargo vehicles.

Blood sounds pretty urgent, but going even larger for non-urgent items makes sense to me.

If here in the U.S. they have small drones to drop off lunch, bandaids, and other small orders, why not use large drones to deliver normal hospital supplies?

Eh. Save lives first, then worry about making the rest of the supply chain more efficient.
