Yesterday he did propose physically segregating people based on if they are willing and capable to be productive, or not.

Technically, everyone would be UBI recipients because that's what is meant by it being Universal. The point is we eliminate all the overhead associated with determining who qualifies for it, or catching cheats, or any argument that it's unfair since everyone gets the same amount.

I'd like to see it implemented somewhere else, and observe the consequences. Seems like it could cause massive inflation, with more dollars chasing fewer producers of goods and services.

Seems risky, because even I would be tempted to drop out of the productive class. If I were a single man, I'd probably just play video games all day. On the other hand, it might give me the stability to pursue one of my business ideas and become highly productive.

... and depopulation is going to occur(ing) organically. No walls required. Korea can't even pay people to mate these days, so we've got the opposite problem of overpopulation.
