Basically, I'm going to use them like DRLs. But technically they might not be considered DRLs, because they don't come on automatically with the ignition. They come on when I turn on the running lights.

They're setup like that, because I want to be able to turn them off. But I don't want an extra switch to contend with. Having the fog lights piggyback on the running lights jives with my feng shui.

Also, the dimmer knob is basically a "set it and forget it" type of thing. I'll fiddle with it until I find the optimal brightness, then leave it there. It's the same thing I did with the Jetta. And it worked nicely.
