New high efficiency AC designed by morons

Antique cheap ACs have plastic guards that fit (snap) into the window tracks, 5 seconds done.

High efficiency inverter AC to be properly secured requires a useless metal bracket bolted into the center of the window sill.

To center I would have to drill insta crack plastic and bolt in every year, any movement and my sill would likely explode.

I guess no 8-12k btu inverter AC for me, it’s not reasonably possible to install without milling a custom block of wood at an angle that I would need to install and remove every year, or place blocks, don’t use the bracket and rely on the window to bear the weight, fail all around
